We finally met Macey Grace, our first niece/cousin. We were on vacation in Oregon and had the chance to spend an entire week with her. Andrew & Olivia took a liking to her very quickly.
Every night for the last 6 months we would pray for “Uncle Erik, Aunt Mary, and the baby in her tummy.” When Macey was born the kids were very excited to have a name and face to put with the “baby in the tummy.”
Mary and Erik have been quick to send us photos and there were a few times we saw her via iChat. But nothing has compared to actually holding her and spending some quality time with her.
When I took the photo to the left, Andrew was sitting on the bed “keeping watch.” We were packing up our things after a week of vacation and he informed everyone in the room to “shhh, be quite, baby Macey is sleepin’.”
